Saint-Georges 001

This series of collages have been inspired by my time at The Mill, a 17th century flour mill and now artist space in the beautiful French village of Saint-Georges-de-Luzençon. Drawn by the patina of age and industry I created a range of papers, pigments, patterns and textures which reflect the aging plaster, sgraffito numbers etched into the walls, rusting metalwork and sun-bleached paintwork. The papers I have used are hand drawn, hand painted or found in the local flea markets. Each composition is an exploration of this gently industrial space.

These collages are unframed, on paper and will be delivered in a biodegradable cellophane sleeve with board backing.
