Sky Study 038

This A4 study sketch on paper forms part of my Land and Sky Form series. 

This series of works plays with the intersection of architectural form and the views we see beyond; big skies, wild seas, windswept flora. Each remembered landscape is caught within negative geometric space suggesting the gentle interruption of our view; a window frame cuts into our line of sight, or concrete hinders our horizon. These interruptions are not harsh or discordant, rather by removing them from the composition we are offered a greater sense of light and space.

Painted in acrylics and oils, signed on front. This is an unframed study.
